A new digital radio service aims to offer more choice to listeners.
The new radio channels include RTÉ Choice, 2XM, Pulse, Chill, RTÉjr and RTÉ Gold.
RTÉ Choice will complement RTÉ Radio 1 with vintage RTÉ and international radio programming. 2XM is a sister station to 2FM. Pulse is a 24 hour dance station and Chill provides a late night service. The first radio service for children arrives with RTEjr while RTÉ Gold will play hits from the 50s, 60s, 70s and 80s.
Listeners can access the new stations through the RTÉ website or using a Digital Audio Broadcasting (DAB) radio.
